Jia Mo, an analyst at Singapore-based market research company Canalys, said the delayed prod

On Thursday, in response to media reports that UK chip firm Arm Holdings told its staff to suspend dealin

Arm China also said in a reply to China Daily that “we are in active com

munication to find appropriate solutions that comply with current laws and regulations”.

They also requested a range of services, especially in monitoring rainfall, droughts, dust stor

It’s a good thing that China is no longer a low-wage country. Most Chinese are much better off than they were even 10 ye

Roughly 20 years ago, when China’s admission to the World Trade Organiz

As Alexander Hamilton, the first US Treasury secretary, argued, a dev

Government pledges more red tape cuts of items requiri

China will further cut the number of items requiring certificatio

n and refine the procedures through institutional inno

vation to improve government services and foster a more enabling business environment.

The decision was made at the State Council’s executive meeting, chaired by Premier Li Keqiang on Sunday.

Participants at the meeting agreed that the government’s efforts in recent years to repeal unwarranted certification requ

irements and deepen the reform of government functions have produced notable results.

“These are crucial steps benefiting both companies and individuals

,” Li said. “At a time when the economy still faces uncertainties, removing these unjustified cer

With Chairman Mao Zedong proclaiming the founding of the People’s Republic of China on

Oct 1, 1949, the Chinese people began leaving behind a century of colonial humiliation and building a new life.

What remains poorly understood by the wider world even seven decades later is how dire were

the conditions in China during those days. While China sustained its triumph, Chinese people’s living stan

It was a dire starting point.

The kind of view that he expressed is certainly in th

Perkowski said that when combined with a perceived lack of legal enforc

companies from the United States when thinking about entering the China market.

He said every aspect of doing business in China has gotten better in the past two decades in the view of international investors.

Perkowski said IPR protection has emerged as a key issue. “China is deve

Country may soon adopt revision to pave way for capital market reform

The top legislature deliberated on the draft revision of the Securities Law over the weeke

On Saturday, the draft revision was submitted to a bimonthly s

ession of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for a third reading, Xinh

ua News Agency reported. The session began on Saturday and continues through Tuesday.

Revision of the fundamental law governing the capital market h

as lasted for six years, with 2015 and 2017 having seen readings of two draft versions.

“The latest draft version is of great importance because it will provide legal grounds for the registration-based initial pub

At least 2 killed in aircraft collision in Nepal’s Lukla airport

At least two people were killed after an aircraft of Summit Air collided with a helico

pter at Lukla Airport in Nepal on Sunday morning, according to local authorities.

Locals said a Summit Air plane with call sign 9N-AMH collided with a helicopter of Manang Air, which was parked within the airport premise.

“At least two persons have been dead, while few others are injured,” local media rep

orted. It has been reported that the Summir Air plane was en route to Kathmandu from Lukla.

The detail of casualties has yet to be ascertained.

Lukla airport is the nearest airport to the world’s highest peak Mou

nt Qomolangma, while April-May is the peak climbing season in the Himalayan country.

In the springtime, domestic airline companies conduct over 50 flights everyday to Lu

kla, known as Tenzing Hillary airport, featuring vibrant terrains and harsh weather patterns.

Due to the extreme wind pressure, all round-trip flights are usually operated in the morning

Swedish prosecutors opened an investigation into Assange af

Some of the sexual misconduct accusations are no longer viable because their time ran out. But Swedish prosecutors

have said a rape case could be reactivated before the statute of limitations ends in August 2020.

After Assange’s arrest, Swedish prosecutor Eva-Marie Persson was tapped to look

into a request from a lawyer for one of the accusers to find out whether the case can be pursued.

Elisabeth Massi Fritz, the lawyer for the woman who reported bei

Flight systems, however, typically are built with a

backup system so there can be no single point of failure. Since the crashes of Max jets in Indonesi

a in October and Ethiopia last month, Boeing has modified design of the anti-stall device to include two sensors on all aircraft.

The FAA allows airlines to make minor modifications in previously certified

aircraft to meet their operational needs, a rule Boeing followed in building the 737 Max for

foreign carriers. Ethiopian Airlines and Indonesia’s Lion Air — involved in fatal crashes five months apart — repo

rtedly declined to buy two add-on safety devices that might have helped the pilots keep the doomed planes in the sky.

Neither airline purchased the “angle of attack” system display for readi

ngs of two sensors rather than one and a “disagree light” to be activated if the sensors prod

uce conflicting readings. The Lion Air crash in October killed 189 passengers and crew.

Airlines around the world, including China and the US, have flown the 737 Max, introduced in 2018, without incident.
